Every day with God is a 365-day devotional from VeggieTales. The updated content and art offer the perfect opportunity for parent and child to share time together each day. Each entry includes a Bible verse, short devotion, Thought of the Day, and prayer.
As the message to parents at the beginning notes, “As parents, you know the importance of teaching your children the big ideas that are found in God’s Holy Word.”
Studies continue to show that the most influential people on a child or young person’s spiritual development are parents. This devotional is another great tool for families to have “God-time” together. It also provides the opportunity for parents to do their devotions while their reading child uses this devotional.
The little devotions are simple and age-appropriate, perfect for readers ages four through seven. The short devotionals are designed to develop a daily practice of spending time with God. Toddler J, not yet 2, will bring the preview copy I received over and say, “Read.” We will read one or two all the way through the prayer, and she sits through them and enjoys it.
It is great for bedtime or family devotional time.
Each page has a VeggieTale character on it, nothing else. This is good. Too much artwork and illustrations would distract from the devotion. I received a copy of the girls edition, which is filled with a lot of pink. There are two female VeggieTales characters on the cover. The boys edition is blue and has Larry and Bob on the cover. Beyond that, I do not know if there are any other differences, leaving me wondering if there are any differences.
